Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller Stroller Finder at Baby Viva

This stroller is very well made and has some very convenient features. The sunshades (however small), do rotate to make sure that sun is out of little ones eyes. The older child can easily hop in and out of the front seat with the cupholders attached. The bar is a neat idea, but we probably won't be using it much. Although there's no snack tray for the front seat, just put snack in one of the cupholders (there's two). The cargo area is huge and it has a zippered end so you can have access at all times, even with rear seat reclined. The parent tray could definately use a bigger storage tray area, but it's big enough for keys. The rear seat could use a cupholder tray, but not a huge deal. You are close enough to hand them things or just have them keep the sippy in the seat with them (if possible - may require straps! LOL) The stroller is very heavy, but it's a double and a pretty spacious one at that, so it's to be expected. We own a Ford Excursion, so obviously it fits in there fine, but it's a heavy lift. Not sure how much room would be available if you were trying to fit it in a car. Guessing it would take up most if not all of your trunk. All in all, we love our new stroller! :)

I got this stroller because I have newborn twins and wanted something more substantial than a Snap n Go. I was definitely not disappointed in this stroller! It pushes really great and holds two Chicco carseats wonderfully. It is a little larger than I would like, but a stroller that holds two carseats really has to be. I really like that you can lock the front wheels, which makes it great for going on power walks. Just like most Chicco products, the sun shades leave a little to be desired. Especially when the stroller is folded, we haven't quite found a good way to get one shade down. The stroller is also very heavy, it is all I can to to lift it in my SUV. If you have twins and love the Chicco carseats like me, this is the stroller for you! If you have a baby and an older child I would definitely look at this stroller, but also others. And if you don't have a Chicco carseat at all, I would look elsewhere.

On May 21, 2010:
We had the single Chicco travel system and loved it, so when we found that they made a double, we were thrilled. We didn't see this in person- just looked online and trusted that it would be as nice as our other one. We weren't disappointed- it looks great, is pretty light weight for a double (I'm 5'4" and can manage just fine), has lots of room in the storage compartment, and drives well. I've gotten several compliments from people on how nice it is. The only thing I wish it had was a tray for my 2 year old's food- it does have drink cups though. Great price too!

On April 29, 2010:
We had our second child at the beginning of April. I have been stalking the internet trying to find a place that had one available and babyviva was the only place that I found that had one. I can't stand side-by-side strollers. They are too wide and I find them offensive because people are forced to go around them when walking on the sidewalk or in the halls at the mall. We had the Cortina in Discovery color for our first born and we took that stroller EVERYWHERE! At the time, we lived in CA. We took it to HI, NY, even Panama. I was super excited to hear about this double tandem stroller. Our single Cortina was being kept on our patio in a large garbage bag to protect it from the elements, but when I went to clean it after Fall, I found that it had grown mold all over it. Rather than clean it, I opted to toss it out. Luckily, the infant seat was in storage indoors. I LOVE the Cortina Together. Granted it is a bit heavy for my petite self to heft into the car (I think ~40#), but it IS a double stroller, so one can't expect it to be incredibly light. Folded and put in the back of our Prius diagonally (wheels in the back corner of the trunk), it fits perfectly. The older child can choose if he wants to sit in the front or the back, and if he's tired, we can put him in the back seat and recline it for napping. The only real con I have, is that the front seat is a bit difficult to fold forward because one of the washers on the release bar catches on the frame, so I have to get in there and help it along until I find another solution. I don't blame it on anything other than a too small washer on the mechanism. I can work with it.

On April 16, 2010:
I purchased the Tandem stroller by Chicco a few weeks ago for my two year old and seven month old. I have taken it out on a few walks already and I am absolutely in love with it. I love that my two year old can climb in and out on her own if you just use the cup holders (I just love that it's an option for her to beable to get in and out, or I strap her in with the 5 point harness and don't have to worry about her trying to jump out as I'm walking!)- also the awesome thing about the cup holders is you can have them turn in or out. Or I can put the bar across which I just put down in my basket underneath which is huge by the way. I love the basket because my 7 month old will drop toys and the basket catches them because it goes almost the whole length of the stroller. Of course if he throws them out the side, that's another story! The basket also is amazing because if my baby is reclined all the way and sleeping, I can still get into the basket by the zipper compartment- genius idea! The stroller actually isn't that heavy either, with two kids weighing a total of almost 45 pounds and the stroller it's not bad, I walk with a friend who has a travel system and I pushed her travel system which was a little lighter but it wasn't bad- especially considering her baby weighs bout ten pounds is all. I highly recommend this stroller, I waited and waited for chicco to come out with this as I really stand behind Chicco products, they are great quality and awesome- and worth the little extra cost!
